So, it’s the day before the race and I’m still not sure exactly whose in the race or how deep the competition is. To be honest, I’m a little confused by the course also – some parts aren’t well marked. On the positive side I took a few mental notes on the course that I think will help me tomorrow. Obviously it is incredibly humid here, the footing is bad, the course has both a steep up and down hill, the way out is directly into the wind, and there are a few sharp turns.
Goal: run smart, get the big W individually and as a team! Megan DuWell and Kim Conley ran really smart in San Diego (and they both beat me), so I’m probably going to try to stick with them in the beginning. The race is 6k – three 2k loops, so the first loop I need to stay controlled, the second I need to be tough when I want to give up, and the final loop is about passing as many people as possible.

I’m hoping to have a little Pre in me tomorrow! Adios until then, I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes as soon as I can. If you’re itching for results check twitter out 🙂
